How We Became Lake Ridge Bank
We knew right from the start that one of the most important decisions we would need to make was what to name our new bank.

Q: What are some things that you help bank customers with?
Aaron: My role with the bank is to develop relationships with new and existing business clients, while focusing on growing the bank’s core deposits through referrals, by partnering with the Business Banking team, the Retail Banking group, and the Mortgage Lending crew. I feel fortunate to meet with and get to know business owners to better understand their business practices and to discuss their goals and objectives related to banking and cash flow. This deeper knowledge allows me to offer and help implement tailored treasury management solutions that best suit each client’s needs to maximize and streamline their business banking experience.
Q: How might people come into contact with you at Lake Ridge Bank?
Aaron: I mainly work out of our Bridge Road office in Monona, but I'm not just confined to these walls! I frequently meet with people at any of our community locations, someone’s place of business, a coffee shop, or a local restaurant for lunch or happy hour. You'll also find me out and about in the communities we support, mingling at networking events or volunteering for area causes.
Q: How did you get into banking as a career?
Aaron: I've been in client service roles my entire career, starting with almost nine years at a lighting and furniture store until it closed in 2011 due to the economy. It was then that I reassessed my career goals and had an opportunity to really consider “what I wanted to be when I grew up.” Inspired by my wife's positive professional development experience and ability to climb the proverbial ladder in banking, I shifted gears to pursue client-facing, service-based roles in the banking world. I started as a retail banking teller, getting to talk with customers every day and learning about what they want and need from their bank. In 2020, I moved into business banking, where I learned even more about how community banks can truly serve our clients in meaningful ways. Recently, I've been thrilled to join Lake Ridge Bank as Treasury Management Business Development Officer, which is a new role for the bank. I'm excited and honored to be part of such a great organization and dynamic team.
Q: What is something you really enjoy about your work?
Aaron: I enjoy building relationships with clients and colleagues alike. I value getting to know people, learning about their families and interests, and making lifelong friends.
Q: What are the best things about living and working in this area?
Aaron: I have lived in or around Madison all my life. It’s what I know and what I love. We are very fortunate to be able to enjoy all four seasons, and I’m not sure I would want it any other way. However, I wouldn’t be opposed to shortening the winters and extending the spring, summer and fall seasons to enjoy more time outdoors. The Madison area is a hip, hot and happening place with lots of fun things to do, great restaurants, and a thriving live music scene. I’m also a HUGE Wisconsin sports fan and love to cheer for and support the Badgers, Packers, Brewers, and Bucks.
