Bio
Pete Graven serves as Chief Credit Officer and has more than 40 years of banking experience, with expertise in credit administration, commercial lending, credit risk management, loss mitigation, and community banking. His background includes commercial lending, commercial credit underwriting, loss mitigation, and the development and oversight of credit policy.
In his role, Pete oversees the bank’s credit policy, loan portfolio performance, and supporting sound credit risk management. He provides oversight of the institution’s credit risk framework, including commercial loan underwriting, portfolio monitoring, and reporting on loan concentrations and composition to ensure alignment with regulatory guidance and risk appetite of the bank.
Pete also oversees the bank’s commercial loan documentation function, ensuring the accurate, timely, and compliant preparation of commercial loan documents. In addition, he oversees the banks in loss mitigation, including the identification, monitoring, and resolution of criticized and classified assets, contributing to the long-term strength and stability of the institution.
Pete holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin–Madison and is a graduate of the Graduate School of Banking. Outside of work, he enjoys traveling, golfing, and spending time at his cabin in Florence County.
