Bio
Monique Nelson’s passion for agriculture and ag lending began on her family’s 50-cow dairy farm in Brillion, Wisconsin, where she learned the importance of hard work, perseverance, and community. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Business with an emphasis in Communications from the University of Wisconsin–River Falls and has spent nearly a decade supporting agricultural producers through the USDA Farm Service Agency. Monique brings extensive experience navigating agricultural loan programs, providing education and training, and offering guidance that strengthens farm operations across generations, with particular expertise in assisting beginner farmers. Today, she and her husband raise their family on a small farmette in southern Wisconsin, continuing their agricultural roots. She remains actively involved in her community as a Sunday school teacher, preschool board member, and youth soccer coach, firmly believing that when farms thrive, entire communities flourish.
“As a community banker, I enjoy planting each relationship like a seed – rooted in care and trust – and walking alongside my clients as their operations grow, knowing that together we’re building something lasting that supports local families and keeps our rural communities strong.”
