Bio
As Vice President – Business Banking, John Alf brings more than 15 years of financial services experience and a lifelong connection to agriculture to Lake Ridge Bank. Raised with a passion for farming, John understands firsthand the unique opportunities and challenges today’s agricultural producers and rural businesses face. He combines that real-world perspective with personalized financial guidance to help clients achieve their goals and prepare for the future.
John works closely with agricultural producers, business owners, and rural entrepreneurs to understand their operations and develop financing solutions that support long-term success. Whether assisting with operating lines of credit, equipment financing, farm real estate, or business expansion, John is committed to building trusted relationships and delivering responsive, local service tailored to each client’s unique needs.
John earned degrees in Agriculture and Animal Science, along with a minor in Finance, from the University of Wisconsin–Platteville. He remains actively involved in the agricultural community as a member of the Wisconsin Farm Bureau Federation, the Rock County Ag Business Council, and the Milton FFA Alumni. He also serves as President of the American Hampshire Sheep Association. Outside of work, John enjoys CrossFit, working on the farm, and raising a flock of purebred Hampshire sheep with his wife and daughter.
Growing up in agriculture taught me that strong relationships, hard work, and good planning lead to long-term success. I bring those same values to every client relationship.
