Bio
Julia Hanlon graduated from the University of Michigan and earned her J.D. from the University of Wisconsin–Madison Law School. She joined Lake Ridge Bank in 2023 after practicing law in private practice, where she focused on complex estate planning, probate and trust administration, and fiduciary matters. Her experience also included real estate and property transfers, fiduciary and beneficiary representation, and a broad range of estate settlement and administration services.
Today, Julia heads up our Fiduciary Services area within Lake Ridge Bank’s Wealth Management Department, Julia leads a team of dedicated trust officers who serve clients in a variety of fiduciary capacities. Together, they act on behalf of Lake Ridge Bank as professional trustee, financial power of attorney agent, personal representative, and guardian, helping clients navigate complex financial and personal decisions with confidence.
Julia is also committed to volunteering her time and knowledge to many community organizations in the Madison area. In 2018, she received the Community Shares Backyard Hero Award in recognition of her research and advocacy on behalf of low-income and at-risk Wisconsin families. She is an active member of the Madison Estate Council, the Dane County and Wisconsin Bar Associations, the Fiduciary and Investment Risk Management Association, and the National Trust Real Estate Association. Additionally, she serves on the boards of both the Madison Estate Council and the Capitol Lakes Foundation.
