Board of Directors

Vernon J. Jesse has been a Director for SBCP Bancorp, Inc. since March 2015 and was appointed Chair of State Bank of Cross Plains in May 2021. He continues in that role for both Lake Ridge Bancorp, Inc. and the bank. Mr. Jesse is an attorney with the Madison-based firm Murphy Desmond S.C. He holds a bachelor’s degree from UW-Stevens Point and a Juris Doctor degree from UW-Madison.

Jim Tubbs served as President & CEO of State Bank of Cross Plains since July 2011, and has been with the Bank since November 1995. Jim has over 40 years of experience in the industry, including time at First Wisconsin Bank, and M&I Bank before coming to the State Bank of Cross Plains in 1995. He now assumes the roles of CEO for Lake Ridge Bank & Lake Ridge Bancorp, Inc. A graduate of UW-Whitewater, he recently completed his term as a director for Bankers’ Bank of Wisconsin and Bishops Bay Country Club. He is also a past chairman of Community Bankers of Wisconsin. He is actively involved with Downtown Madison, Inc., and United Way of Dane County.

Paul Hoffmann served as the President and CEO of Monona Bank since June 2007, and he now assumes the role of President for Lake Ridge Bank as well as a Director for both Lake Ridge Bancorp, Inc. and the bank. Paul has more than 40 years experience in the banking industry, including time spent working at M&I Bank and Park Bank in Madison, as well as for the Federal Reserve Bank in Minneapolis. Paul graduated from St. Mary's University in Winona, Minnesota with a Bachelor of Arts degree with majors in Business Administration-Management and Humanities. He also completed the Graduate School of Banking Program at the University of Wisconsin Madison. Paul is active in the community and currently serves on the boards of Madison Rotary Foundation, Banker’s Bank, and Madison Symphony Orchestra. He previously was Chairman of Goodwill Industries of South Central Wisconsin, Chairman of Community Bankers of Wisconsin, and he was also previously on the boards of Monona Chamber of Commerce, Wisconsin Bankers Association, and Maple Bluff Country Club.

Sam Ballweg was a Director for SBCP Bancorp, Inc. beginning May 2018 and is a Director for both Lake Ridge Bancorp, Inc and Lake Ridge Bank. He is president of Endres Manufacturing Company, representing the fourth generation of family leadership for the Waunakee-based steel manufacturing and fabrication business. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in both finance and theology from Boston College, having graduated magna cum laude.

Mike is the owner of Corporate Business Systems where he has been the president since 1998. Corporate Business Systems specializes in providing document and print security solutions to businesses in southern Wisconsin. Mike also is involved in several real estate partnerships and is a member of the Greater Madison Chamber of Commerce, the Monona Chamber of Commerce and formerly served on the National Board of Directors for the Business Technology Association. He began his service as a Director for Monona Bankshares in 1991 and continues as a Director for Lake Ridge Bancorp, Inc. and the bank.

Mark Burish is a Director of Lake Ridge Bancorp, Inc., as well as a founder and shareholder of the law firm of Hurley, Burish S.C. Madison, Wisconsin which he helped start in 1983. He serves on the board of several businesses including Mortenson Investment Group and Forward Health Group. He is the founder and past owner of Our House Senior Living, LLC, Milestone Senior Living, LLC which he started in 1997. He is the managing member of Rare Steak Houses located in Madison and Milwaukee Wisconsin and Washington, D.C.

Tim Carey is a Director of Lake Ridge Bank, as well as principal of T5 Real Estate Solutions of Middleton. His background includes comprehensive development, investment, and brokerage services in the commercial real estate markets. His primary markets include the Madison area and southern Wisconsin. Tim previously held a position on the Middleton Community Bank Board of Directors for four years. Tim is actively engaged in supporting several local charitable organizations, including serving on the Real Estate Committee at Wayforward Resources.

Cathy Durham began her service as a Director for SBCP Bancorp, Inc. in January 2016 and continues as a Director for both Lake Ridge Bancorp, Inc., and the bank. She is Past President and Principal of Capital Valuation Group. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Washington State University and a Master of Business Administration degree from UW-Madison. Ms. Durham has also earned the Accredited Senior Analyst designation from the American Society of Business Appraisers.

Steve Eager has been a Director of SBCP Bancorp Inc. & State Bank of Cross Plains, since June 2019 and continues his service as a Director for Lake Ridge Bancorp, Inc. with its establishment in October 2022. In addition to being on the board he is Market President for the Bank. Steve serves the Banking industry as a member of the Wisconsin Bankers Association’s Legislative Committee. Furthermore, Mr. Eager also serves his community as Supervisor 2 for the Magnolia Town Board in Rock County Wisconsin. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities and is a Graduate of the Graduate School of Banking at UW Madison.

Steve Grundahl began his service as a Director for SBCP Bancorp, Inc. in 2016 and continues as a Director for both Lake Ridge Bancorp, Inc. and the bank. In 2001, he founded Blue Mounds-based Midwest Prototyping and served as president until July 2021, when the company merged with Prototek where he served as Vice President of Additive Manufacturing, ultimately moving to an advisory role in 2024. He is currently an investor and advisor for several businesses, local and international and manages a small real estate portfolio. Mr. Grundahl holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the Milwaukee School of Engineering and earned his MBA from Edgewood University.

Pete Gunderson is a Director of Lake Ridge Bancorp, Inc. , as well as a Partner, along with his son, Matthew, of Gunderson Funeral and Cremation Care, the largest Independant and locally owned Funeral, Green Burial Cremation and Veterans Burial provider in Wisconsin, with locations throughout the Madison Area and South Central Wisconsin. He was also a co-founder of Middleton Community Bank in 1995. A long time Middleton/Cross Plains area resident, Pete’s roots were on the East Side of Madison and Monona. He has served the local communities through several service organizations at various levels including, Middleton Optimist Club (President),  East Madison/Monona Rotary (Paul Harris Fellow),  Monona Grove Business Men’s Association, Middleton Chamber of Commerce board, Monona Chamber of Commerce board, Wisconsin Funeral Directors Association (President), East Madison/Monona Coalition of the Aging board (President 7 years), Children’s Dyslexia Center of Madison (Fund Raising Committee) and others.

Chris Homburg joined the Board of Monona Bank in 2015 and continues as a Director for Lake Ridge Bancorp, Inc. and the bank. Chris has worked at Homburg Contractors since its founding and currently serves as its President. Chris has served on the City of Monona Planning Commission since the mid-1990s. He is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering. Chris lives in Monona with his family and has been very active in our communities for many years.

Gregory D. Jones began his service as a Director for SBCP Bancorp, Inc. in 2018 and continues as a Director for Lake Ridge Bank. Mr. Jones is the CEO of Forgewell Building Group, a Madison-based holding company of leading construction firms including Veridian Homes, Dave Jones, Auburn Ridge, and Associated Housewrights.

Dan Kuehn began his service as a Director for SBCP Bancorp, Inc. in 2014 and continues as a Director for Lake Ridge Bank. Mr. Kuehn is President & CEO of Cross Plains-based Plastic Ingenuity, the largest custom thermoformer in North America with seven locations in the US and Mexico. Mr. Kuehn received a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical & Computer Engineering from UW-Madison and a Juris Doctor degree from Northwestern University School of Law.

Tiffany Scheller is the Chief Financial Officer at J. H. Findorff & Son Inc. Findorff is a Wisconsin-based, employee-owned commercial construction company founded in 1890 with offices in Madison, Milwaukee and Wausau. With nearly 30 years of experience in finance and strategic leadership, Tiffany has a wealth of expertise and a passion for making a positive impact in the community.
